Bea Arthur–You’ll be Missed

25 04 2009

I’m absolutely stunned to hear that Bea Arthur, most famous perhaps for her role as Dorothy Zbornak in The Golden Girls has passed away.

She will be missed!

Oh no…

i also remember her from All In the Family and Maude.
i’m old. 😦

People often said she was homely, but i never thought so.
i loved her voice.
Sadness.

Bea looks more like she should have been my mom than my mom does. She had a great career. Got to be an actress for years before she became “famous”. Probably the best order for that to happen. I saw Betty White on a new Password a while back and she was wonderful. So very sharp and still at the top of her game. It seems these 4 actually cared for each other. A nice team they were.

We have the whole Golden Girls collection! I remember watching them while in my teens. I am sad she is gone. She was a part of my life, kind of!

I’m telling my age here, but I loved her as Maude…always a fav. She will indeed be missed by many – maybe most of by those who will now never be touched by her 😦

I gotta be honest…I thought she passed years ago. But that show was a great one!
